We visited this pub recently and were really impressed. It’s dog friendly, which is always a big plus for us, and the staff were absolutely lovely from the moment we arrived. The food was amazing, everything we ordered tasted brilliant and was cooked perfectly. The menu is well thought out, with prices that are very reasonable and feel well chosen for the quality you get. Overall, a fantastic experience. Great food, great value, friendly service, and somewhere we can bring the dog along too. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The food here is amazing, very tasty and very generous portions, will definitely be back to indulge in the rest of the menu. Great pool table and darts too, and a big screen for sports. Would recommend
I booked for a family gathering of 18 people, we pre ordered our food due to being a big group. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was brought out promptly and piping hot. Each person said their meal was perfect and very tasty. The lion and lamb is very modern inside and there's plenty of eating areas,we sat outside and this was perfect for our needs as we had children and dogs with us.
Well, after a long day rambling in the hills, you may find yourself famished and in need of replenishment. Come here for a good atmosphere, friendly service & food which is above your average pub grub. I tried the fish & chips and the pie of the day although not on the same evening, as portion sizes here are fit for a king. Both meals were fresh, great quality and home-made.. just wish it stayed open later. Highly recommend.
We absolutely LOVE this pub it’s so friendly and the food is amazing. Portion sizes are big which is a bonus! We love going for a walk at seascale beach and popping in here for our tea, and so convenient as we usually have the dog. The beer garden is lovely too they have so much to offer such as pool, darts, things for kids and TV’s in the background- perfect place to go!
Called in for tea, requested a table for 4. Within in 30 minutes we were tucking in to very delicious pizzas. Excellent service and good quality food. Very high standard. Short walk from public car park across the road.
